Financial Peace University

Personal finance is 80% behavior and only 20% head knowledge. Financial Peace University is a 13 week program that encourages positive behavior with accountability and support. FPU teaches financial responsibility, steps to eliminate debt, offers accountability and continued support with lifetime membership, trains participants to spend every dollar on paper with the zero-based budget planner, and empowers people struggling with financial hardships by establishing a plan to take control of their finances. The cost for the class is $115, which includes a kit with a workbook, budgeting tools, Dave Ramsey’s best-selling book, the audio version of the class and more. Starts Feb. 2 at 6pm. Sign up in the Café at church.

Learning to Minister Like Jesus

At Mercy, we believe anyone can learn how to hear from God and pray for others with power and effectiveness! This exciting and beneficial 3-part training will teach you what the Bible says about the power of prayer and how we can each participate. This is a required class for those interested in praying on the ministry team on Sunday mornings or for those interested in leading a Mercy Small Group. The class runs 3 Sunday mornings February 12, 19, and 26 from 10:30-12pm. Sign up in the Café at church or contact Dano Sauter, danosauter@gmail.com.

College Student Gathering

If you are in college, about to be, or even just finishing up we want to get to know you and provide a place for you to get to know each other! We’ll have a lunch and a lot of space to ask questions from people in the stage of life as you, or just ahead.  So if you’re a college or grad student, we’d love to see you on Sunday, February 19 at 12:00pm. Suggested donation for lunch is $3.

Bless Minneapolis

We love this city, and we love Jesus and how he empowers us to love other people. Every Thursday in February at 6:00pm, we’re going go and do the things Jesus did throughout the city. These may not be the most comfortable, like praying for people on the street, but we believe it’s worth it to try. Every week will look a little bit different, so come expecting God to show up as we go out to bless our neighbors and the city we live in.

Membership Covenant Class

Are you interested in taking the next step of involvement here at Mercy? Come to the Membership Covenant Class on Sunday, February 26 from 12:00 to 3:00pm. We’ll talk about how you can grow in relationship with God and others, and what it would mean if you wanted to become a formal member of our church. If you have questions contact Le Que, leque@mercyvineyard.org.

Annual Members’ Meeting

The Annual Member Meeting is Sunday, February 26 from 5:00-6:00pm. We will take a look at the past year, go over some administrative details of the church, vote for board members, talk about some plans for the future and go over our attendance and finances. If you are a member, you are encouraged to come. Sign up in the Café if you need childcare.

Small Group Leader Training

Here at Mercy we believe that each person has the ability to minister to others in their own unique way. Leading a Small Group is a great practical way to share the dreams and purpose that God has given to you. If you have been thinking about starting a new Small Group or getting some tips to improve the one you currently lead, you should attend our two-part Small Group Leader Training on Sundays, March 18 & 25 from 10:30am-12pm. Leading a Small Group is for anyone, people of all experience are welcome! Lunch and childcare are provided. Contact leque@mercyvineyard.org if you would like to attend.

Welcome Lunch

The Welcome Lunch on March 25 from 12-2pm is for anyone who is newer to our church. You’ll get some information about our church, but more importantly, some tips about how to get the most out of whatever time you spend here with us. Attendance is limited to 20 people; please RSVP in the Café at church. Lunch and childcare are provided.

Transformation Weekend

Do you want to be transformed by God, empowered to live a great life, get a recharge, and deepen friendships with others in the church? The Transformation Weekend is a great time for this. You can either pair up with a prayer partner to receive God’s healing on difficult issues holding you back or spend time on a personal retreat. Sit by the fire or hike through the woods, hang out with friends, and spend time with God. Save the date for March 30-31, both men’s and women’s retreats.

Seek

Seek is a 10-week course about exploring faith and Jesus. If you are curious about faith in Jesus, new to faith in Jesus, or wondering about how faith might play a greater role in your life, then consider attending our next round of Seek on Thursday nights starting March 22 at 6pm. You can join any time in the first three weeks.
