Activity Groups

Activity Groups help people do things they really love together with other people who also love doing those things. Anyone in each group can contact the group to propose an event or meeting through e-mail, phone, or texting if the group members have provided that information.

Go ahead and give it a try! Join a group and propose an event or if you think a group is missing from our list, go ahead and create it by clicking the “Add a new group” link. Make friends and do things that you really like doing – the power is in your hands

  • Auto Repair

    People helping each other and others fix cars. Let's learn to repair cars together and even repair cars for people that might not be able to afford it.

  • Beer Tasting

    This is a group for people who'd like to get together, hang out, and savor the complex flavors of hops and barley. We'll have a great time getting together, trying some new beer, and having some good discussions. Moderation required.

  • Bourbon, Scotch and Whisky Appreciation

    Come enjoy the finest in Bourbon and the world of whiskey. We'll explore Scotch, Tennessee, Canadian, Japanese, Bourbon, and all other types of whiskey, but with a specific focus on Bourbon. Moderation is required.

  • Dance

    For all who love to dance

  • Disc Golf

    This is a group for getting together to go out and hit up some disc golfing at some of the local courses.

  • Freezer Meal Swap

    Do you want to stock your freezer with ready to cook and serve meals?
    In this group each member makes a number of the same dish, then swaps meals with other members at a decided upon group meeting.

  • Host Families for International students

    For anyone interested in finding out more about short term hosting opportunities for international students studying at Global Language Institute in St Paul. Great ministry opportunity!

  • Knitting and other yarn crafts

    Let's knit (or crochet) Bring your current project. If you don't know how, I can teach you. You can't go wrong with free lessons!

  • Married Men Discussion Forum

    A group of married men who meet to discuss life, marriage, sex, and family. Conversation is open, honest, and candid.

  • Moms Group

    A group of moms that take a break from regular mothering tasks to focus on relationships with each other and God.

  • Movie Group

    There are always good movies coming out in the theaters. During the week there are movie theaters that have inexpensive shows ($5). If you want to check out movies, and would like to go with people, this would be a group for you. This is not just limited to bargain times. Whatever movie you want to see, let the group know. I'm sure some people will want to see it too :-)

  • Northeast Neighbors

    Live, work, shop, or eat in Northeast Minneapolis? Interested in discovering the community surrounding MVC? Then won't you be my neighbor?!?

    Northeast Neighbors are committed to the grassroots approach of practicing a "ministry of presence" within the NE community. Through attendance at community-wide festivals, dinners, and meetings as well as trips to local art studios, shops, and eateries we seek to learn more about and invest in our NE neighborhood.

  • Ping Pong

    Let's play some ping pong! Either at Mercy Vineyard Church or elsewhere, join this group to connect with other people that like to play Ping Pong or Table Tennis.

  • Prayer Walks

    This is a great opportunity to come together and pray for the community. We will meet at 5:30pm on Sundays in the MVC parking lot.

  • Skiing & Snowboarding

    A group that loves to brave the Minnesota winters by hitting the powdery slopes. We'll load up our gear and form carpools to various ski slopes in the area. Both skiers and snowboarders are welcome.

  • Study Hall

    This is an opportunity for students and professionals with "homework" to get together at Mercy and spend some productive time together in the Mercy Cafe. Plus there is free coffee!

  • Texas Hold 'em Poker Group

    A group of people that like to play Texas Hold'em. Sign up to get notified of games.

  • Touch Football

    Probably after church on Sunday's. We may also work in watching the Vikings game.

  • Ultimate Frisbee

    A group of people that enjoy playing ultimate frisbee. We may form games of our own if the group is large enough or find existing games and join in those games together. But let’s play some Ultimate together!

  • Video Games

    A group of people who enjoy playing multiplayer video games. We'll get together with copies of our favorite games and have some fun while getting to know one another. From Halo to Mario Brothers, Tetris, Starcraft, and more...you name it, we'll play it!

  • Web Developers & Designers

    A group where web designers / developers can get together once a month (or so). At the meeting a few group members would take 10 minutes each and present some idea or technique to the group and we could discuss it and learn from one another.

  • Yoga

    Wanna do yoga? All levels of experience welcome. We'll meet at the church on Saturday mornings starting Oct 3rd.
